Embattled Illinois Governor Appoints Roland Burris To Complete Obama's Senate Term

Illinois Governor, Rod Blagojevich, who is mired in a scandal over President Elect Barack Obama's vacant U.S. Senate seat, has just appointed Roland Burris to the position.

The appointment was viewed with surprise and skepticism for several reasons not the least of which are the small contributions Burris had made to Blagojevich's campaign.
